“This year my holiday gift to Puerto Rico is curiosity and audacity”.
These qualities are extremely useful nowadays, according to Iván Ríos Mena, Chief Operations Officer of the Puerto Rico Science, Research & Technology Trust. On one hand, curiosity is vital to know how everything works and, thus, to innovate. Curiosity is also the seed of every innovation, he said.
On the other hand, audacity is the tool that makes it possible to execute, and makes individuals willing to take risks for their benefit and society’s.
“It is precisely in difficult times like today’s, in which we are looking for solutions, when it’s important to be curious, audacious, and bold. In this scenario new ideas are brought to life and the establishment is challenged “, said Ríos Mena.
